Surviving a Toxic Relationship and Staying Positive!
|
I started this blog in an effort to heal from my Toxic Relationship. I had been in a toxic relationship for 6+ years. I did not know or understand what a toxic relationship was or that I was even in one and toxic as well. However, after leaving several times and going back each time, I made the decision to leave again. Does it mean that you no longer love the person for whom you were in a toxic relationship? Absolutely not! It just means, that I love myself more and I want to get healthy so that I can have a toxic free relationship. God is awesome and he has an amazing plan. God can move mountains when you can not see how. My hope and prayer is that this blog will create dialogue and healing for men and women who have been in a Toxic Relationship! There is healing when you have faith of a mustard seed. I do believe that once you have healed from your Toxic Relationship – you do not EVER go back to that toxic person – you move on and find a healthy and fulfilling relationship! That is the journey I am on. I am never looking back, only moving forward!
Thank you for following my blog, I would love to hear from you, so please leave me your comments!

Thank you!!!!
Beautiful poems. I am trying to get out and stay out of a Toxic Relationship. So very painful and I thank you for I feel so very weak and my heart , mind and spirit search for healing.
You are so welcome Marylou – it’s a challenge and I completely understand. God has a plan just keep the faith. I have learned thru my own personal experience that God can even heal toxic relationships. I also learned that I too was toxic in my marriage. Stay in faith and pray for healing – May God richly bless you! Hugs – Cheri
Hi Cheri, I am so glad I came across your website, your poems are very inspirational filled with encouragemnt to go on growing in Christ. I too have been in a toxic relationship for 26 years, but I truly love my husband, and I am praying for change to take hold of his heart.
Hi Vernessie – I am glad you found it as well!!!! I love writing poetry, while I have been a little dry lately – it has helped me to heal, and I love sharing them. I pray that God will find a way for your husband to change. Sometimes, it’s best that we do the changing and see if they can follow or keep up – I hope for the best for you and your husband because you deserve to be HAPPY!
